In-kind donations of goods and services that support our mission are accepted, however some restrictions apply. Please contact us at nys4hfoundation@gmail.com so we can discuss your gift and provide the information you need

Donor-Advised Funds

Ask your advisor to direct your gift to NYS 4-H Foundation, Inc. nonprofit tax ID # 14-6021395. Let us know if you have designated a gift to us through your Donor-Advised Fund and if you have a special program you want to support

Make a tax-free donation from your IRA

While a distribution from your IRA is normally treated as taxable income, the IRS allows retirees age 70½ years and older to donate up to $100,000 tax-free from their IRA each year to a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, such as the NYS 4-H Foundation. To be eligible: IRA Trustee or custodian must make the distribution directly to the charity. Distributions made payable to the IRA owner and transferred to the charity will not qualify. Distribution must be made to a qualifying charity. The NYS 4-H Foundation, Inc. is a qualifying nonprofit charity, federal tax ID 14-6021395

Matching Gifts

Many companies will match their employees’ gifts to the NYS 4-H Foundation, Inc. through their giving programs. Find out if your company has a matching gift program through your Human Resources department

Planned Gift - Include 4-H in your Estate

Making a planned gift — whether by including a bequest to 4-H in your will or by naming it as the beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust, life insurance policy, or retirement fund — provides essential support for the 4-H program in the future. Tributes and Memorials

Honor friends and loved ones in a meaningful way with a tribute or memorial gift. When making a donation, provide the name of the honoree and the address where we should send the acknowledgment. We will mail an acknowledgment promptly to the person(s) you designate, so s/he will know that you’ve made a gift in his or her name or loved one’s memory. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed.
