4-H members attending Capital Days in AlbanyThe New York State 4-H Foundation, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit corporation, which for over 50 years has been focused upon building and enhancing quality 4-H Youth Development programs for New York's young people.

Governed by a board of diverse volunteers, including young trustees, the Foundation works closely with Cornell Cooperative Extension to develop partnerships and solicit, manage, and steward private contributions on behalf of the highest priority 4-H Youth Development programs.

Millions of New York young people have participated in 4-H over its first century. The 4-H Foundation helps to renew and strengthen the relationship of 4-H alumni to today's ever-changing and innovative program.   Each year funding is allocated to statewide 4-H Youth Development programs, county grants, and scholarships for 4-H youth.
